Friday afternoon drinks – I

Think that it’s about time I quit procrastinating and start painting. It’s been a little while (how old is Maddy now?!) so maybe starting small is the way to go.

Small and back to basics I think. When I first started drawing classes with the wonderfully talented David Andrews – and I just worked out exactly how many years ago this was and I’m too shocked to even write it – he had us drawing bottles and only bottles for months and months until we were trusted with anything else.

So… back to bottles it is. Luckily I’ve a huuuge selection of interesting bottles that either contain (rare) or used to contain various alcoholic beverages. So, welcome to the first of my Friday drinks paintings:

Tonight’s tipple is a slightly wonky but limited edition Lord Nelson Double Nelson IPA. Yum!
